Umphrey’s McGee Announces ‘Safety In Numbers’ 10th Anniversary Reissue

By Scott Bernstein Mar 1, 2016 8:19 am PST

On April 4, 2006 Umphrey’s McGee released their 4th studio album Safety In Numbers. The band will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the LP by releasing a remastered edition of Safety In Numbers complete with bonus tracks and a previously unreleased live set.

The remastered SIN will be available both digitally and on vinyl with a new 180-gram double-LP pressing. Brad Blackwood at Euphonic Masters remastered the album specifically for vinyl. Team UM tweaked the packaging and have included a few original album concept sketches from the LP’s artwork designer Storm Thorgerson of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Genesis fame. Safety In Numbers remastered digital versions will be available in MP3, FLAC and ALAC, as well as the first high fidelity 24/96 version of the album ever released. The remastered album will be released on April 1 through UM’s Nothing Too Fancy Music label. Those pre-ordering via Merch.Umphreys.com in any format will be able to immediately download an unreleased acoustic bonus show from UM’s April 3, 2006 album release party in Chicago.

Vinyl orders will begin shipping March 14, two weeks ahead of the street date.
