Umphrey’s McGee Announces 2017-2018 New Year’s Run

After bringing their New Year’s Run back to Chicago last year, Umphrey’s McGee confirmed the band will indeed hold this year’s festivities in Denver. Keyboardist Joel Cummins had previously announced the news following UM’s three night stand at Red Rocks earlier this summer.

Umphrey’s McGee played their first-ever New Year’s Eve show on December 31, 2000 at the Cubby Bear in Chicago. From that night through December 31, 2010 UM rang in the New Year at various Chicago venues. In 2011, the band moved the festivities to St. Louis and then alternated between Atlanta and Denver for the next four New Year’s runs before the 2016-2017 installment in Chicago. This year’s run will span December 29 -31 at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver.
