U2 Welcomes Eddie Vedder & Mumford And Sons In Seattle

Irish rockers U2 continued The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 on Sunday night at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. U2 switched up the setlist a little bit from Friday’s opening show and welcomed hometown hero Eddie Vedder and members of English folk-rock act Mumford & Sons at one point in the evening.

Bono & Co. kicked off the evening with a mini-set of early classics including the tour debut of “Bad.” They also worked a snippet of “America” within “A Sort Of Homecoming.” U2 then played each and every track from their landmark 1987 album The Joshua Tree in the same order they are found on the record. For the finale, “Mothers Of The Disappeared,” Vedder came out to duet with Bono and opening act Mumford & Sons also emerged to help out.

Once again U2 ended the night with a pair of encores. The first encore featured post-Joshua Tree hits “Beautiful Day,” “Elevation,” “Ultraviolet (Light My Way)” and “One.” For the second encore, Bono led his mates through “Miss Sarajevo” and “The Little Things That Give You Away” as well as the tour debut of “I Will Follow.”
