By Andy Kahn Dec 4, 2019 • 8:26 am PST

U2 will launch U2X Radio on SiriusXM and Pandora next year. The announcement was made during U2’s concert in Japan when frontman Bono connected with Howard Stern live on his SiriusXM channel, Howard 100.
U2X Radio will feature content exclusively available to SiriusXM and Pandora subscribers. The band will appear on the channel, which will also feature “music from U2’s acclaimed decades-long career; never before heard interviews and live concert recordings; favorites and surprises from the archive; band curated playlists sharing personal influences both new and old; plus content celebrating their Dublin roots and much, much more.”
“Generally when I open my mouth people prefer if I’m singing,” Bono stated. “But on U2X Radio, maybe they’ll forgive me the odd interruption…”
U2 joins the likes of Phish, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen who have dedicated SiriusXM channels. Watch the announcement from Japan below:
