Fuzz-rockers Apollo Sunshine were a groundbreaking act from Boston that sadly parted ways in 2010. Over the course of their seven-year career they put out a handful of studio albums including the stellar LPs Katonah in 2003 and a self-titled release in 2005. Both Katonah and Apollo Sunshine have recently been made available for streaming on major services thanks to Reapandsow.

Katonah can now be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play, while Apollo Sunshine can now be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music. Our friends at Reapandsow celebrate the digital reissues of the LPs with a blog post that includes word on what the members of Apollo Sunshine are up to now.

Of particular note, guitarist Sam Cohen is about to take part in a special series of shows dubbed “Alone & Together.” This year’s three “Alone & Together” concerts will find Cohen, Kevin Morby and Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats) joined by instrumentalists Joe Russo (Benevento Russo Duo/JRAD) and Josh Kaufman (Yellowbirds, Bob Weir’s Campfire Band). Look for the musicians to perform their own songs, cover one another and choice other tunes as well as deliver surprise jams. “Alone & Together” 2017 will be held at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California on March 2; at The Sanctuary at Pico-Union in Los Angeles on March 4 and at The Chapel in San Francisco on March 5.
