Twiddle Welcomes Eggy, West End Blend & lespecial Members At Levitt Pavilion

Twiddle made their debut at Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts by headlining a pair of sold-out concerts at the Westport, Connecticut venue on Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30. The Vermont-based jam quartet was joined by special guests for portions of the run, as West End Blend trumpeter Mike Bafundo sat-in on Friday while Eggy and lespecial bassist Luke Bemand joined for portions of Saturday’s show.

Guitarist Mihali Savoulidis, bassist Zdenek Gubb, keyboardist Ryan Dempsey and drummer Adrian Tramontano (who continues to fill in for Brook Jordan) played two sets on Friday after a performance from The Nth Power and a solo set from Mihali. Twiddle opened with “Honeyburste” and concluded the first set with fan favorite “Frankenfoote.” Rarity “Laughable Butane Bob” kicked off the evening’s second set, which ended with a “Polluted Beauty” featuring a jam on the Harry Potter theme. Bafundo joined the band for their encore to add trumpet to a cover of Tears For Fears’ “Mad World.”

Dwight and Nicole and Eggy each took the Levitt Pavilion stage after a Twiddle acoustic set for VIPs on Saturday. The quartet then delivered a first set that included the beloved “Jamflowman,” a version of “White Light” encompassing a take on John Lennon’s “Imagine,” multiple songs from Twiddle’s forthcoming Every Last Leaf album and more.

Twiddle’s final set of the weekend launched with a pairing of “Enter” and “Orlandos.” Luke Bemand emerged during the ensuing “Every Soul” for a bass and drums jam. Next, all four members of Eggy swapped in and out as part of “Mamunes The Faun.” The four-piece went it alone to cap the frame with “Slippin In The Kitchen” and “When It Rains It Pours” before offering a “The Box” encore.
