Twiddle Dusts Off Jackson 5 Cover In Louisville
By Scott Bernstein Feb 11, 2019 • 11:43 am PST
Vermont jam quartet Twiddle continued their winter tour at Gravely Brewing Co. in Louisville on Sunday night. Twiddle’s lone set included the return of a Jackson 5 cover and a medley based around Bush’s “Glycerine.”
The four-piece opened with rarity “Complacent Race” which bled into “Honeyburste.” Next, Twiddle dusted off a cover of Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” for the first time in a year and fit Stevie Wonder’s “Boogie On Reggae Woman” within. A run of staples followed as “Second Wind” and “Indigo Trigger” led into “Zazu’s Flight.” More staples came next before Twiddle ended the set with a “Glycerine Medley.” Portions of Phish’s “Farmhouse,” Old Crow Medicine Show/Bob Dylan’s “Wagon Wheel,” The Beatles “Let It Be” and Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry” were among the tunes fit into the first “Glycerine Medley” of 2019 as per members of the iTwiddle group. The night concluded with a “Juggernaut” encore.
