Twiddle enlisted Greensky Bluegrass dobrobist Anders Beck to contribute to their new single, “Distance Makes The Heart.” The song is out today on the heels of “The Devil,” a track released last month that marked the band’s first studio cut since 2017.

“Distance Makes The Heart” shows off a different, more Americana-focused side of Twiddle’s music than the reggae-tinged stylings for which the quartet is best known. Recorded at Sugarworks Soundhouse in Waitsfield, Vermont by Roger Stauss and Samuel Johnson, the new song was produced by Clint Bierman.

“I wrote ‘Distance Makes The Heart’ during the beginning of the pandemic,” explained Twiddle frontman Mihali. “The song is about finding yourself in an unfamiliar way of life, isolated from the ones you love. It reflects upon how much better things are when we’re all together.”

“I really enjoyed getting to join the guys on this track! The fact that this song is such an ear-worm made it a blast to jam on,” added Anders Beck. “Distance Makes The Heart” arrived with a lyric video featuring footage from the group’s time on the road.
