TV On the Radio frontman Tunde Adebimpe served as the musical guest on Wednesday’s at-home edition of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Adebimpe recorded a version of TV On The Radio’s “Love Dog” in April that aired last night.

Tunde sang over pre-recorded loops during his rendition of the song from Dear Science. TV On The Radio released the criticially acclaimed Dear Science in September of 2008 and appeared on The Colbert Report in support of the LP the following February.

Read a note from Adebimpe posted on the band’s social feeds:

Hey, so I’m on Colbert tonight, just found out. They’ve been doing a play at home series and I was asked to contribute a song beginning of April, did it, had no idea when it’d be on, just found out. The song’s lyrics are about resilience in the face of despair and I hope you get something from it. Sending a lot of love and strength to everyone
