Take a listen to the studio version of “Into The Mines”:
Here’s a live take on “Into The Mines” recorded at Panoramic Studios:
“(Tumbleweed Wanderers) demoed over twenty songs in a San Francisco mansion they turned into a home studio, and then cut fifteen basic tracks at the brand new Panoramic Studios in Stinson Beach. The band then took these sessions back to their home studio where they incessantly overdubbed, rearranged, and tweaked the songs for months on end, layering walls of harmonies, guitars, and keyboards, and even bringing in additional vocalists, a string quintet, and pedal steel for some tunes. After whittling the record down to the tightest eleven songs, they recruited Brian Deck (Iron & Wine, Modest Mouse) to provide the fresh ears and creative spark needed to mix the record and Brian Lucey (Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys) to master the album, giving it the rock and roll sheen they sought,” reads a statement announcing the album.
The band has launched a PledgeMusic campaign for Realize with a number of intriguing items available for those who contribute.
