Heavy Metal Grateful Dead Tribute Act TRüKKEN Announces 1st Concert
The new group will share the bill with Schism: A Tribute to Tool at Brooklyn Bowl on June 20 for an event dubbed “The Brown Acid Test.”

TRüKKEN: A Heavy Metal Tribute to the Grateful Dead will make their debut at the original Brooklyn Bowl in New York City on June 20. “The Brown Acid Test: A Psychedelic Rock N’ Roll Circus” concert will also feature Schism: A Tribute To Tool “plus a special guest.”

- Philthy Garcia (guitar and vox) aka Phil Costello of Satanicide, Hair Supply, Tragedy, The Rodney Speed Experience
- Ill Flesh (bass) who was also in Ghost and Lez Zeppelin
- Robbie “Weird” Seahag (guitar and vox) who is in Banned From Utopia, the Rickie Lee Jones band and lots of other sideman to the stars situations
- R.I.P. Roarin’ Rob (drums) who was also in 25 Ta Life, Shat, Tragedy and the White Collar Crime LLC, and Rodney Speed Experience
- Pinkpen aka Jake Szufnarowski on guitar, viol, harmonica, kazoo, washboard, banjo and organ.also of Tragedy, and White Collar Crime LLC
Jake Szufnarowski is the founder of long-running NYC-based concert promotion company Rocks Off. Szufnarowski previously worked in various roles including booker at the Wetlands Preserve before the famed NYC nightclub was closed.
