Trombone Shorty And Grace Potter Guest With Gov’t Mule At Grand Point North

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals hosted the Grand Point North festival this weekend in Burlington, where Grace and her band welcomed a number of guests during their sets including country megastar Kenny Chesney and Trombone Shorty. One of the bands on yesterday’s bill was Gov’t Mule, who turned in a guest-filled performance of their own.
Eight songs in their set, Warren Haynes and Co. welcomed Trombone Shorty for the funky “Tributary Jam.” Watch fan-shot footage of the collaboration:
Later in the set Potter emerged to duet with Warren Haynes on a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Gold Dust Woman.” Here’s a fan-shot clip of the sit-in:
Mule’s set also featured a cover of Bill Withers’ “Hope She’ll Be Happier” and a taste of their new album, Shout!.
