Trio Of R.E.M. Members Perform Together At The Minus 5 Show In Athens

Last night three of the members of R.E.M. shared the stage together in the band’s hometown of Athens, Georgia. The mini-R.E.M.union took place during a The Minus 5 concert at the 40 Watt Club on Tuesday evening.
Former R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck regularly performs with The Minus 5 and the group’s founder Scott McCaughey in The Baseball Project along with R.E.M. alum Mike Mills. Last night Buck, Mills and former R.E.M. drummer Bill Berry – who left the group in 1997 – came together onstage last night at the 40 Watt Club to support The Minus 5 on a cover of song by The Clique (only R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe was not in attendance for the reunion).
