Guitarist Trey Anastasio shared official video featuring a gorgeous version of Phish classic “What’s The Use?” from his latest The Beacon Jams livestream concert originating from The Beacon Theatre in New York City. Anastasio was joined by pianist Jeff Tanski, percussionist Cyro Baptista and the Rescue Squad Strings for “What’s The Use?” towards the middle of his Friday, October 23 performance.

Longtime collaborator Don Hart created the arrangements for the Rescue Squad Strings, which consists of Anja Wood on cello, Rachel Golub on viola and Katie Kresek and Maxim Moston on violin. Anastasio played electric guitar on “What’s The Use?,” a song Phish recorded for 2000’s The Siket Disc and debuted live on July 4, 1999.

“What’s The Use?” marked Tanski’s lone appearance of the evening and was the first song on which the strings contributed. The Rescue Squad Strings stuck around for “Brian & Robert,” “If I Could,” “Leaves” and “The Lizards.”
