Phish’s Trey Anastasio Announces 1st Orchestral Show Since 2017

The guitarist will perform with the National Symphony Orchestra on June 25 at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia.

Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio will play an orchestral concert this June. The show will be held at an idyllic outdoor venue in Vienna, Virginia.

Trey Anastasio will team up with the National Symphony Orchestra on June 25 at Wolf Trap in Vienna, Virginia. The guitarist’s last orchestral shows came seven years back when he performed with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra in Nashville on September 27, 2017 and with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in Atlanta on September 29, 2017.

Anastasio was supposed to embark on a run of symphonic shows in June of 2020 that included shows in Lenox (Massachusetts), Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Raleigh. The concerts were first postponed to June 2021 and then canceled outright due to the pandemic.
