Trey Anastasio Discusses Phish’s Connection With Madison Square Garden On SiriusXM

During an interview with SiriusXM, Trey Anastasio spoke about Phish’s relationship with New York City’s Madison Square Garden as the band prepares for another four-night New Year’s run at the famed venue which also marks the Vermont quartet’s 25th anniversary playing at MSG.
Phish first played MSG on December 30, 1994. In the SiriusXM discussion, Trey talks about how familiar he has become with the MSG staff, saying hello when he attends games and concerts there. Anastasio also touts the room’s legendary acoustics. “You could blindfold me, and put me on that stage and I’d play one note and know I was in Madison Square Garden.” Check out Trey reflecting on 25 years at MSG below:
