‘Transmissions From NOLA’ Livestream Series Features George Porter Jr., Stanton Moore Trio & More

George Porter Jr., and more will perform for the upcoming Transmissions From NOLA livestream series. Transmissions From NOLA kicks off at 8 p.m. CT Wednesday, December 30 with Grammy-nominated Mardi Gras Indian funk band Cha Wa via HyFi and New Orleans film production company Fish Pot Studios.

Tranmissions From NOLA celebrates “the important musicians that have influenced the New Orleans music scene’s past, present, and future,” as per HyFi’s website. The series will air every other Wednesday in early 2021 and will include full concert performances from pianist Jon Cleary on January 13, Stanton Moore Trio on January 27 and legendary Meters bassist George Porter Jr. on February 10.
