Trampled By Turtles Announces Return With New Album, Single & Tour


Duluth, Minnesota-based string band Trampled By Turtles embarked an a hiatus that lasted well over a year. Today, TBT is back with word of a new album, the release of its lead single and the announcement of a lengthy tour.

Trampled By Turtles will release their next album, Life Is Good On The Open Road, on May 4. “Kelly’s Bar” is the LP’s first single and can be streamed below. Life Is Good On The Open Road can be pre-ordered from a variety of digital services. Trampled By Turtles’ online store is offering CD and vinyl versions of the LP.

It’s only fitting TBT’s tour starts in Minnesota and the band kicks off the run with two nights at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul on May 4 and 5. From there, the group brings the tour to Madison, Philadelphia, New York City, Washington D.C., Raleigh, Asheville, Nashville and Chicago over the course of May. The Pines, Frankie Lee, Dead Horses, Hiss Golden Messenger and Actual Wolf take turns opening in May.

Trampled By Turtles teams with Deer Tick for a June run that includes stops in Tahoe, Oakland, San Diego, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver. On July 19, TBT headlines Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado with support from The Oh Hellos. Then, in July, the band plays the Montana cities of Missoula and Bozeman with The Lil Smokies set to open.
