After a hiatus that lasted well over a year, Trampled by Turtles are gearing up for their return. The Duluth, Minnesota-based band will release a new album entitled Life Is Good On The Open Road on May 4 and begin an extensive tour the same day. Recently, Trampled By Turtles unveiled the second single off the forthcoming LP, “The Middle.”
Frontman Dave Simonett wrote “The Middle” in advance of the group reuniting at a Minnesota cabin last October. “We were jamming on it while we were experimenting in the studio,” Simonett told Rolling Stone. “The first single was a faster bluegrass song, and this one’s a little more poppy. We’re doing that as a way to represent the entire record. This one fits, ironically enough, right in the middle as far as vibe goes.”
