On June 26 Showtime will premiere the first installment of Cameron Crowe’s Roadies series. The show was written, created, directed and executive produced by Crowe, the man behind such movies as 2000’s Almost Famous. Today, The Hollywood Reporter unveiled the trailer for Roadies. While the series is fictional, Crowe told THR “several characters or plot points included in the series are based on true stories — and legends — that exist within the music industry.”

The show stars Luke Wilson as tour manager Bill, Carla Gugino as production manager Shelli and Imogen Poots as an electrical tech as the hourlong comedy documents what goes on behind the scenes at rock shows. Roadies’ inaugural season is expected to run for 10 episodes. Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis serves as producer and music supervisor and the band’s frontman Eddie Vedder’s “Hard Sun” is the soundtrack for the trailer. The Hollywood Reporter reveals The Head And The Heart will appear in the pilot and the show will continue to feature other bands and musicians including The Eagles’ Joe Walsh.
