Tour Dates & Trailer | Playing For Change U.S. Summer Tour

The Playing For Change multimedia movement aims to inspire, connect and bring peace to the world through music. Playing For Change founder Mark Johnson realized that while each culture has its own language, musicians from around the world can connect using the common language of music. This summer The PFC Band will hit the road for shows across the U.S.

The tour kicks off on June 6 at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis and is currently slated to run through the band’s July 12th appearance at the Big Rib BBQ & Blues Fest in Rochester, NY. Grandpa Elliott, legendary street musician from New Orleans, sings alongside Clarence Bekker (Netherlands), Titi Tsira (South Africa), Tal Ben Ari “Tula” (Israel), Jason Tamba (Congo) and Mermans Mosengo (Congo) in the PFC Band. The group’s rhythm section features Louis Mhlanga (Zimbabwe) on lead guitar, Papa Orbe Ortiz (Cuba) on the bass, Peter Bunetta (USA) on drums, Roberto Luti (Italy) on guitar and on keyboards Keiko Komaki (Japan).
