Top Memorial Day Weekend Music Festivals For 2023

Memorial Day Weekend in Central Illinois means days and nights filled with music at Summer Camp. Usual headliners moe. and Umphrey’s McGee will once again perform throughout the weekend. A few of the many other acts heading to Three Sisters Park include Willie Nelson, Goose, Vulfpeck, the Disco Biscuits, Les Claypool’s Fearless Flying Frog Brigade, Ganja White Night and dozens of others.

Bluegrass patriarch Del McCoury’s namesake Memorial Day Weekend event DelFest will once again bring together top bluegrass players and other talented genre-crossing musicians. In addition to several sets by The Del McCoury Band, among the others set to perform at the Allegany County Fairgrounds includes The Travelin’ McCourys, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Trampled by Turtles, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Sam Bush, The Infamous Stringdusters, The California Honeydrops, Sierra Ferrell and Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway.

Rooster Walk 13 brings over 50 artists to Pop’s Farm to perform across its six stages. Among those appearing over Memorial Day Weekend include Greensky Bluegrass, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Holly Bowling, Neal Francis, Kitchen Dwellers, The Marshall Tucker Band and several others.

The 4th annual Grateful Festival brings the ultimate Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia experience back to Fort Tuthill Fairgrounds. This year’s lineup features Electric Waste Band, Cubensis, Steely Dead, Nate LaPointe, Dave A’Bear’s A Very Jerry Band, Xtra Ticket, The Harvest, Let it Grow, Legion of Mario and others.

Boston Calling returns to Harvard Athletic Complex for three days of music. Headliners for this year’s event include Foo Fighters, The Lumineers and Paramore. Among the others on the lineup are King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The National, Niall Horan, Queens Of The Stone Age, Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan, The Flaming Lips, Mt. Joy, Joy Oladokun, Bleachers, Maren Morris, 070 Shake, The Walkmen and The Linda Lindas.

Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra hosts their annual Dark Star Jubilee at Legend Valley. Along with three DSO performances, the lineup includes Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, The Wailers, Sam Bush, Circles Around The Sun, The Nth Power, Joan Osborne, Dogs In A Pile and more.

BottleRock returns to Napa Valley Expo for another weekend of music, food, wine and brews. This year’s headliners are Post Malone, Lizzo and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Other acts on the 2023 lineup include Duran Duran, Lil Nas X, The Smashing Pumpkins, Leon Bridges, Billy Strings, Wu-Tang Clan, The National, Caamp, Sheryl Crow, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Bastille, Japanese Breakfast, Thievery Corporation, Lucius, Los Lobos, Taj Mahal, Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs and dozens more.

Do LaB presents Lightning In A Bottle, an electronic music festival offering environmental and cultural workshops, art installations, yoga and movement classes and more. Performers appearing at the 20th annual event include Diplo, 070 Shake, SOFI TUKKER, ​​REZZ, ZHU, Liquid Stranger, LSDream, TOKiMONSTA, The Glitch Mob, Tale of Us, Purple Disco Machine, Ben Böhmer, Phantogram, Tobe Nwigwe, Caribou, LTJ Bukem w/ Armanni, MEUTE, Deathpact, The Polish Ambassador, The Floozies, Stephan Bodzin (Live), BLOND:ISH, Giorgia Angiuli, LP Giobbi and more.

Twiddle headlines the two-day Memorial Meltdown at Charles R. Wood Park. Joining the band on the first day’s lineup are TAUK, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad and Annie in the Water. Day two features more Twiddle as well as Twiddle frontman Mihali, Dogs In A Pile and One Time Weekend.

The Strawberry Music Festival five-day, family-friendly campout celebrates its 41st anniversary. Once again, the event hosts a weekend of bluegrass, Americana and more. Among the performers heading to Nevada County Fairgrounds will be Della Mae, Yonder Mountain String Band, North Mississippi Allstars, AJ Lee & Blue Summit, The Way Down Wanderers, Rainbow Girls and more.

Multi-day Latin music festival Sueños returns to Grant Park for its second year. The +18-event features reggaeton and Latin artists such as Wisin & Yandel, Grupo Firme, Feid, Nicky Jam, Archangel, Becky G, Chencho Corleone, El Alfa, Gera MX, Ivy Queen, Eladio Carrion, Myke Towers, Junior H, Ryan Castro and more.

One of the longest-running global dance music festivals, Movement Detroit brings +100 acts to perform across six stages at Hart Plaza on the Detroit Riverfront. Those heading to the birthplace of techno include Skrillex, Bonobo, Kaskade, Basement Jaxx, Zeds Dead, Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen, Octave One, Caribou, Ida Engberg, Stacey Hotwaxx Hale and scores of others.

Wormtown Trading presents StrangeCreek Campout 2023, a weekend of music and camping at Camp Kee-Wanee. Headliners Max Creek are joined on this year’s lineup by The Infamous Stringdusters, The Machine, Ryan Montbleau Band, Pink Talking Fish, Start Making Sense, Bella’s Bartok, The James Montgomery Band, Toubab Krewe, Consider the Source, Grateful Dub, West End Blend, Creamery Station, Shira Elias, Adam Ezra Group, Shakedown, Playing Dead, Bearly Dead, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams, The Alchemystics, Professor Louie & The Crowmatix, Baked Shrimp and others.

The whole city will throw down at Roger Sherman Park for this year’s Greenwich Town Party. Music with a touch of New Orleans will be provided by the likes of The Revivalists, Mavis Staples, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Wyclef Jean, Trombone Shorty, Irma Thomas, George Porter Jr., Cyril Neville, Ivan Neville, Eric Krasno, Celisse, Tony Hall, Raymond Weber and Tarriona “Tank” Ball.

The two-day Sunset Music Festival is back for its 11th year with music and more at Raymond James Stadium. The EDM-stacked lineup features everyone from AC Slater to Zomboy, appearing alongside other top-line DJs and performers.

Spend the holiday weekend dancing all night at Exodus Las Vegas Memorial Weekend. Performers from the EDM world headed to the MGM Grand include Above & Beyond, Sofi Tukker, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Kygo, Marshmello, Tyga, John Summit and Gryffin.

After a three-year absence, Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival returns to Historic Crew Stadium In Columbus, Ohio. Headlining the four-day festival are Foo Fighters, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold and KISS. The first Afro Nation held on mainland North America will take place at the Miami Marlins’ home stadium, loanDepot park. Featuring performers from genres such as Afrobeat, hip-hop, R&B, dancehall, amapiano, Afro house and more, the lineup is made up of Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake, Rema, Mavado, Fireboy DML, Dadju, Beenie Man and more.

The inaugural Adjacent Music Festival will feature over 40 acts playing across three stages on Atlantic City Beach. Blink-182 and Paramore will headline the premiere two-day event. Others on the lineup include Japanese Breakfast, The Starting Line, Mannequin Pussy, Bleachers, Thursday, Midtown, Folly, The Front Bottoms, Turnstile, Coheed and Cambria, Jimmy Eat World, IDLES, PUP, Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and more.

I Love RnB Festival in Long Beach, California is an annual chance to witness some of the most talented RnB artists perform live in a festive and welcoming atmosphere along a beautiful beachfront location. WonderWorks debuts this Memorial Day Weekend at Allegheny County’s Hartwood Acres Park. Headliners Hozier and Jason Mraz top the lineup also featuring Mt. Joy, The Revivalists, The Head And The Heart, COIN, The Airborne Toxic Event, X Ambassadors, Andy Frasco & The U.N. and more.

Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus presents top-tier country music performers taking the stage to deliver unforgettable performances. The festival’s lineup this year includes George Strait, Chris Stapleton, Little Big Town and Warren Zeiders.

Pointfest music festival at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre features a lineup of popular rock and alternative acts performing across multiple stages. The 2023 lineup consists of Incubus, Coheed and Cambria, The Pretty Reckless, Bad Omens, Badflower, Greek Fire, Band-maid, Tigercub, Des Rocs and Inimical Drive.

Punk Rock Bowling music festival combines live punk music with a bowling tournament and also features pool parties, comedy shows, and other activities. The musical program will see performances at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center by Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Bad Religion, The Interrupters, The Damned, Suicidal Tendencies, L7 and many others.

The annual Patriotic Festival honors and celebrates the U.S. military with live music performances from some of the biggest names in country music along with military displays, exhibits, and other demonstrations. Heading to Scope Arena for this year’s event will be Cody Johnson, Sam Hunt, Walker Hayes, Randy Houser, Jordan Davis Corey Kent, Cooper Alan and Tracielynn.
