Top Labor Day Music Festivals For 2022

The Shangri-La Festival takes over Harmony Park in Southern Minnesota. Hosted by Wookiefoot, additional performers include The Polish Ambassador, Kabaka Pyramid, Satsang, Moon Tricks, Mike Love and dozens more.

Adirondack Independence Music Festival returns to Charles R. Wood Festival Commons in Lake George, New York over Labor Day Weekend. This year’s lineup includes moe., Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Dopapod, Pink Talking Fish, Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime, Ryan Montbleau Band, lespecial, Dogs In A Pile, Neighbor, Hayley Jane & The Primates and Freekbass & The Bump Assembly, among several others.

Host band Old Shoe will once again present Shoe Fest at Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See. Along with Old Shoe, additional performers include Leftover Salmon, Keller Williams, Todd Sheaffer, Chicago Farmer & The Fieldnotes, Mr. Blotto, Steady Flow, Them Coulee Boys, The Burney Sisters, The Hillbenders and Family Groove Company, among others.

Some of the biggest names in EDM will perform at this year’s North Coast Music Festival. Among the bevy of artists making their way to SeatGeek Stadium will be Armin van Buuren, Illesium, Diplo, Fisher, Porter Robinson and Kaytranada.

The 26th annual Four Corners Folk Festival returns to Reservoir Hill Park for three days of Americana, bluegrass, folk and more. Among those on the 2022 lineup include Yonder Mountain String Band, Heartless Bastards, Amy Helm, Seth Walker, Armchair Boogie, Dirtwire and War & Pierce

The inaugural Earl Scruggs Music Festival debuts over Labor Day Weekend at Tryon International Equestrian Center. The bluegrass-stacked lineup boasts Jerry Douglas, The Earls of Leicester, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Béla Fleck My Bluegrass Heart, Leftover Salmon and many more.

Randall’s Island becomes an Electric Zoo for three days as the top EDM acts from around the world descend upon the Big Apple. Electric Zoo 3.0 will see performances by Porter Robinson, Armin van Buuren, Diplo, Chris Lake, DJ Snake, Gorgon City, Slander, Cheat Codes and scores of others across the event’s four stages.

Trampled by Turtles, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, Arlo McKinley, Here Come the Mummies, Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, Seratones and Joslyn & The Sweet Compression will play in Peoria along the River City’s RiverFront park. They are among the acts slated to appear over two days at the Peoria Blues & Heritage Music Festival.

Nelsonville Music Festival is back for another three days of music in the beautiful rolling hills of Southeast Ohio. The intimate event will see performances by Japanese Breakfast, Angel Olsen, Yo La Tengo and Lucinda Williams, as well as Aida Victoria, Neko Case, Mdou Moctar, La Luz, Town Mountain and more.

Set among the scenic San Louis Valley, the Seven Peaks Music Festival is a three-day music and camping event. Many top modern country and bluegrass acts will perform at the festival, including Dierks Bentley, Morgan Wallen, Tracy Lawrence, Ashley McBryde, HARDY, Jordan Davis, Old Crow Medicine Show and Lainey Wilson.

Founded in 1991, Jazz Aspen Snowmass returns over Labor Day Weekend for another three days of music in the mountains. Snowmass Town Park will see performances by Stevie Nicks, Chris Stapleton, Leon Bridges, Little Big Town, Zach Bryan, Patrick Droney and Marc Broussard.

The Heron Farm and Events Center presents Beyond the Blue IV featuring +20 artists with more than half appearing at the fest for the first time. Spend three days camping and dancing to the sounds of Pokey LaFarge, Ryan Montbleau Band, The Town Pants and Dr. Bacon, along with several others, like regional-based artists Dead Alliance Buffalo and Smilo & The Ghost.

Expect to hear the sounds of Cajun, Zydeco, blues, country, bluegrass, Americana and many other genres of music at the Rhythm & Roots Festival. Among those performing across three stages at Ninigret Park include North Mississippi All Stars, Anders Osborne & Jackie Greene, Cowboy Mouth, Samantha Fish, Donna the Buffalo, The New Orleans Suspects and Veronica Lewis.

Lotus will host this year’s Summerdance at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. The band will play all three nights, with additional performances by Octave Cat, lespecial, Luke the Knife, Dizgo, Tim Palmieri, Mike Greenfield, Yam Yam, Phibber, BlendMode, 5AM Trio and Chalk Dinosaur.

Experience a big festival in a small town at this year’s FarmJam. Held over Labor Day Weekend at a real working farm, country artists tapped to appear include Jessie Leigh, Joe Nichols, Matt Stell, Jeff Crosby, Scooter Brown Band, Cooper Alan, Jon Wolfe, Hannah Dasher, and several others.

The Black Academy Of Arts And Letters presents the fifth annual Riverfront Jazz Festival featuring the finest in jazz, soul, r&B, blues and neo-soul, the lineup of artists heading to Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center for the three-day fest includes Erykah Badu, Eric Benét, Spyro Gyra, Incognito Eddie Palmieri, Keith Anderson, Bob James, Robert Glasper, Boney James and John McLaughlin, as well as several others.

The inaugural All IN Music & Arts Festival premieres Labor Day Weekend at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center in Indianapolis. Death Cab for Cutie, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Cage the Elephant and John Fogerty top the first-time event’s lineup that also features Portugal. The Man, Dawes, Trampled by Turtles, Lucinda Williams, Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs, Dumpstaphunk, Watchhouse and The Four Tops.

Curated by hip-hop icon Jay-Z, the 2022 Made In America takes over Philly’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway for two days of music and social activism. This year’s lineup includes headliners Bad Bunny and Tyler, The Creator, along with Lil Uzi Vert, Jasmine Sullivan, Burna Boy, Kodak Black, Pusha T, Toro y Moi, and many others.

GRiZ, Louis the Child, Madeon and Slander top the ILLfest 2022 lineup. Dance from early afternoon until late into the night at Circuit of The Americas with additional performers including Chromeo, RJD2, Jai Wolf, AC Slater, Cheat Codes and Boogie T, among others.

Aqueous, lespecial, The Talking Dead Heads, Space Junk and Tortoise Forest make up The Great Flamingle lineup. The single-day event hosted by Aqueous will take place at the Jack Rabbit.

Honor the Earth and First Avenue present the second annual Water Is Life Festival at music, art and cultural festival at Bayfront Park. The single-day event hosted by Winona LaDuke features an unprecedented coalition of musicians, artists, poets and Indigenous leaders. Performers include Ani Difranco, Allison Russell, The Indigo Girls, Tia Wood, LOW, Dessa, Joe Rainey Sr, Keith Secola, Annie Humphrey, David Huckfelt, Corey Medina, Gaelynn Lea and emcee Thomas X.
