Tool To Tour With Primus

Last week, Tool revealed they would be embarking on a U.S. tour in January and mentioned, “Regarding an opening band(s), what I was able to discern through the ever- shifting veil will in all likeliness be exciting to many Tool enthusiasts.” Today that tour has been announced and in an exciting development Primus and 3Teeth will open.

Tool shared a Facebook post with listings for eight shows. Though the Tool Facebook post doesn’t mention Primus or 3Teeth, the individual listings on Ticketmaster do show Primus on all dates and 3Teeth on all shows except Tulsa and Duluth.

Tool drummer Danny Carey played a series of shows with Primus last year while Tim “Herb” Alexander was recovering from a heart attack. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 20 at 10 a.m. local time for most shows. The note on Facebook from Tool ends with “check back soon for more info.”
