Umphrey’s McGee Joins Inaugural Tool Live In The Sand Lineup

Umphrey’s McGee have been added to the lineup for Tool's inaugural Tool Live In The Sand destination event. The three-day music vacation will be held at the Hard Rock & Royalton Resorts in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic from March 7 – 9, 2025.

Tool will perform two sets at the festival organized by Festication. Primus, Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal, Coheed and Cambria, King’s X, Fishbone, Wheel, CKY and Moon Walker are also aboard. Longtime Tool collaborators Alex Grey and Allyson Grey will provide visuals.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to share the news that Primus, Mastodon, and Coheed and Cambria will be joining us for our first-ever Caribbean performance at Tool In The Sand,” Tool’s Justin Chancellor stated when the destination event was initially announced. “2025 is shaping up nicely. See you all there for what should be an unforgettable weekend of music!”

Organizers have not officially confirmed the date UM will play the event. However, Umphrey’s McGee has U.S. dates scheduled for March 7 and 8 leaving them likely to perform at Tool Live In The Sand on Sunday, March 9.
