Tool Busts Out ‘Sweat’ In San Francisco

Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco hosted Tool this week as the band kicked off a tour with Primus and 3TEETH with a two-night stand at the Bay Area venue on January 6 and 7. As reported, the first night featured a setlist that closely matched what Tool played at their lone 2015 concert at last year’s Monster Mash on Halloween. The second night’s show was largely the same selection of songs, with one big exception in the form of Tool’s first performance of “Sweat” since 1998.

The opening track from the band’s 1992 EP Opiate had reportedly been shelved since an August 28, 1998 show at Fresno State University Amphitheater in Fresno, California. Coming out of a Danny Carey drum solo, the “Sweat” bust out was captured and posted to YouTube by bbfreddiealbertking, watch:
