The doors to Tommorowland's campgrounds opened this morning in Belgium less than 24 hours after a massive inferno destroyed the event’s main stage. The organizers of the electronic music festival are moving forward, with performances scheduled to begin on Friday.

The fire began around 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday and was extinguished by Thursday morning as per the New York Times. No one was injured and the rest of the festival grounds were unaffected.

“The Orbyz Mainstage of Tomorrowland Belgium 2025, a creation born from pure passion, imagination, and dedication, is no more,” noted organizers in a statement posted on the festival’s website this morning. “It’s impossible to put into words what we’re feeling.”

“This wasn’t just a stage. It was a living, breathing world,” the statement continued. “From the very first sketch on a blank page, to countless hours of conceptual design, artistic collaboration, engineering, crafting, building, every single piece of Orbyz carried part of our soul.”

Over 400,000 attendees are expected at Tomorrowland Belgium, which runs from Friday through Sunday over the next two weekends in the town of Boom. The lineup features EDM superstars from around the world including David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Charlotte de Witte, Steve Aoki, Armin van Buuren and Anyma.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation. Fans have started entering the festival’s campground — DreamVille — with related events in Brussels and Antwerp set to proceed as planned today.

“We spent the night working on possible solutions for the Mainstage area,” Tomorrowland organizers added. “All detailed info about the festival weekend (Friday – Saturday – Sunday) will follow in the upcoming hours.”

Updates will be posted on the Tomorrowland website.
