Over the years, Trey Anastasio and frequent songwriting partner Tom Marshall have embarked on a number of songwriting trips together. The pair will usually find themselves a large house in a vacation area as a home base and spend plenty of time working together to create songs that have been played by Phish and the Trey Anastasio Band. The latest songwriting trip took place recently as Tom Marshall has shared a few images from the sessions on Twitter.

There’s no word yet on the fruits of the session and for which project they’ll be used, but we suggest following Marshall on Twitter as he may share such details in the future. Tom also tweeted a photo of Trey’s original Languedoc guitar, which Trey used as his main axe between 1988 and 1996 with word of a new addition to it:

As for now, the only dates on Anastasio’s calendar are at the Grateful Dead 50 celebration in Chicago over the Fourth of July Weekend. Trey’s new solo album, Paper Wheels, is expected later this year.
