By Scott Bernstein Apr 2, 2018 10:45 am PDT

Pianist Holly Bowling and guitarist Tom Hamilton recently completed the first leg of the debut Ghost Light tour. The pair will be focusing on their new band but also have other projects in store. One such project will find them performing the music of the Grateful Dead at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on June 1.

Tom Hamilton and Holly Bowling’s show is billed as “The Capitol Theater Presents Acoustic Explorations Of The Grateful Dead.” Hamilton and Bowling are no strangers to the music of the Dead with Tom a founding member of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Holly having issued an album of GD interpretations titled Better Left Unsung in 2017. The pianist’s initial foray into the Dead’s repertoire was a version of “Eyes Of The World” she recorded for our 2015 video series Songs Of The Own.
