Todd Stoops Guests With Pink Talking Fish At Disc Jam

Last night Phish/Talking Heads/Pink Floyd tribute act Pink Talking Fish headlined the first night of Disc Jam Music Festival in Stephentown, New York; where the band was joined by special guest Todd Stoops on keys during their set.

Stoops emerged about midway through PTF’s set to join in for a double keyboard jam on a cover of Talking Heads’ “Girlfriend Is Better.” Later in the set, guitarist Dave Brunyak completed a frenzied “Carini” solo by smashing his guitar on stage Pete Townshend style to the delight of the crowd.

Tood Stoops’ guest spot was particularly intriguing as it’s recently been revealed the ex-Kung Fu keyboardist will join PTF bassist Eric Gould (ex-Particle) in a new band called Ex Presidents that also features Andrew Block (ex-Gramatik) on guitar and Neal Evans (ex-Dopapod) on drums. Ex-Presidents will make their debut at Backwoods Pondfest this August.

Disc Jam continues today with performances from Lettuce, Kung Fu, Roots Of Creation, West End Blend, Consider The Source and many more.
