Watch Trailer For HBO Tina Turner Documentary ‘Tina’

The upcoming HBO documentary Tina profiles legendary performer Tina Turner. HBO unveiled a trailer for Tina which premieres March 27.

The 118-minute film, directed by Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin, incorporates new and archival interviews with Tina Turner. Lindsay and Martin were given access to never-before-seen footage, auto tapes and personal photos for their revealing look at the 81-year-old musician.

Interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Angela Bassett, Kurt Loder and Tina’s husband, Erwin Bach, are also among those used in Tina. Turner’s ups and downs are explored in the film. “I had an abusive life, there’s no other way to tell the story,” Tina said in the trailer. “It’s hard when the worst parts of your life have been an inspiration,” noted Bassett, who played Tina Turner in the biopic What’s Love Got To Do With It?
