Thundercat (bassist Stephen Bruner) will embark on a massive tour of North America this fall. The lengthy run includes stops across the U.S. in September and October and will be followed by a brief South American trek.
News about Thundercat’s In Yo Girl’s City Tour comes on the heels of “No More Lies,” the first new Thundercat song in three years. Bruner collaborated with Tame Impala (multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker) on the track, which was released last week.

Thundercat kicks off the headline tour with a concert in Troutdale, Oregon on September 28. The Grammy-winning artist then swings through California for shows in Humboldt, Los Angeles and San Diego. An engagement in Phoenix on October 8 will be followed by a performance at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 10.
The tour continues in Chicago on October 12 and Detroit on October 13 before Thundercat makes his way to the Northeast for concerts in Buffalo, Boston, Brooklyn and Washington D.C. Next comes a show in Atlanta on October 22. It’s then off to Texas for shows in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and El Paso ahead of the North American leg closer in Albuquerque on Halloween. Thundercat’s South American run features stops in São Paolo, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Curitiba and Santigo between November 8 and 15.
