Throwback Thursday | Stephen Colbert Welcomes Radiohead

Stephen Colbert has just been announced as David Letterman’s replacement to host CBS’s The Late Show after Dave retires next year. Colbert will leave Comedy Central and The Colbert Report behind after signing a five-year agreement with CBS. We love the choice as not only is Colbert hilarious, but he has good taste in music.

Over the years Colbert has welcomed a number of outstanding acts to The Colbert Report including Paul McCartney, Jack White and Jeff Tweedy. But for our money the best music-related episode of The Colbert Report took place in September of 2011, when he welcomed Radiohead for a full hour. Stephen chatted with the band and Radiohead performed “The Daily Mail,” “Bloom,” “Little By Little” and “The National Anthem” on the episode.
