The Word Celebrates Chris Chew’s Birthday In Chicago

Between tonight and Saturday, supergroup The Word wraps up their most extensive tour since 2002 with performances in Washington, D.C. this evening; Glenside, Pennsylvania tomorrow; New York City on Friday and Boston on Saturday. On Monday night the band – which features keyboardist John Medeski, sacred steel specialist Robert Randolph and The North Mississippi Allstars – celebrated bassist Chris Chew’s birthday at Concord Music Hall in Chicago.
