The Who Debuts New Songs In London

By Scott Bernstein Feb 13, 2020 9:48 am PST

The Who played a pair of acoustic shows at the intimate PRYZM in London on Wednesday night, marking the smallest venue they’ve performed at in decades. Led by Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, the band unveiled live renditions of Who tracks “She Rocked My World” and “Break The News.”

Both the early and late shows consisted of eight songs each and featured identical sets. Pete, Roger and a much smaller version of their backing band than usually tours with them kicked off both sets with “Substitute” and then dusted off The Who By Numbers gem “Squeeze Box” for the first time since 2017. Next up was “Behind Blue Eyes” and “The Kids Are Alright” ahead of the two new tunes from the latest The Who album, Who. “Pinball Wizard” followed before Townshend and Daltrey performed a duet on “Won’t Get Fooled Again” to close out the sets.
