The War On Drugs Performs On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ & Covers Warren Zevon For Spotify
Last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live featured musical guests The War On Drugs. The band performed the latest single from their upcoming new studio album A Deeper Understanding.
Frontman Adam Granduciel led the seven-piece collective through a performance of “Pain,” one of 10 tracks making up the new album coming out on Atlantic Records on August 25. The guitarist was joined by bassist Dave Hartley, keyboardist Robbie Bennett, drummer Charlie Hall and multi-instrumentalists Anthony LaMarca and Jon Natchez on the first night of sessions with engineer Shawn Everett at Sonora Recorders in Los Angeles, for the nearly-live tracked recording of “Pain” that appears on the album.
