Austin City Limits shared video of The War and Treaty performing “Hey Pretty Moon.” The clip previews bandleaders Micahel Trotter and Tanya Trotter’s performance for the live music television program airing this Saturday, January 16 on PBS along with a performance by Austin’s own Ruthie Foster.

“Hey Pretty Moon” appears on The War And Treaty’s 2020 album, Hearts Town, and is inspired by the legendary Ray Charles. The nod to Ray is evident on the song’s opening synth strings, reminiscent of the opening strains of Charles’ version of “Georgia On My Mind.” The Trotters then deliver the powerful vocal performances they’ve become known for.
