The String Cheese Incident‘s Fall Tour rolled through Steel City last night for a performance at Stage AE in Pittsburgh. Before the show, the band posted a photo from rehearsal on Instagram and advised an “uber bust out” was possible. Towards the middle of the second set, SCI delivered.

The Colorado jam act dusted off an original song that was referred to as “SKAT” from the time of its 2001 debut until the last time it was seen on July 10, 2006. Keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth confirmed that the tune known as “SKAT” has been re-titled “Xai” just in time for its first performance in over nine years. SCI filled the rest of the show with classic originals, a few recently debuted numbers and a handful of covers including Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish” and Bob Dylan’s “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues.”

Listen to the version of “SKAT” from the recently released live archival release Rhythm Of The Road: Volume 2 – Live In Las Vegas:

Next up for SCI is a visit to F Shed at the Market in Syracuse tonight.
