The String Cheese Incident Begins Red Rocks Run

The String Cheese Incident made their return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado to kick off a three-show run at the famed venue on Friday night. SCI played before a capacity crowd and welcomed Vermont jam act Twiddle to open who were joined for a guest spot by keyboardist Todd Stoops.

“Dudley’s Kitchen” opened a marathon first set that spanned over 90 minutes. SCI mixed material from throughout their career through a first set which ended with a “Big Shoes” > “Just One Story” > “Whiskey Before Breakfast” > “Can’t Wait Another Day” sequence. “Can’t Wait Another Day” saw Bill Nershi and Jason Hann crash Kyle Hollingsworth’s Yamaha S90 keyboard. SCI kicked off the second set with a cover of “Sympathy For The Devil” by The Rolling Stones. The second set focused on classics with “Way That It Goes” the only song played which was debuted this decade. “Smile” served as encore. The String Cheese Incident returns to Red Rocks tonight.
