MTV LIVE IN TORONTO THIS THURSDAY

The Slip
The Slip will be appearing live on MTV Canada this Thursday (5/17) to promote the Canadian release of EISENHOWER on Studio Plateau Records, one night before their Toronto CD release party at the Mod Club. Also appearing will be Vice and VBS co-founder Shane Smith. Tune in to find out about the time Smith could have bought a nuclear warhead from a Bulgarian arms dealer and stay for the smashing live version of “Even Rats.” If fans want to be in attendance for this, all that they have to do is call 1.888.491.6888 or email liveaudience@mtv.ca and request tickets for the date of the show. MTV Canada studios are located at the Masonic Temple, 888 Yonge street, Toronto, Ontario – studio audience has to be there by 5pm.

LATE SPRING TOUR WITH BOBBY BARE JR.

Bobby Bare Jr.
Having just finished a winter tour throughout the Eastern US, The SLIP will be heading back out yet again in early June for three weeks on the road with Bobby Bare Jr.. So get psyched for a great tour that winds its way from Wakarusa to Bonnaroo to NYC, Boston, and beyond… Bobby, whose career has included collaborations with Silver Jews and Frank Black (and whose backing band on his last full-length also goes by another name that you may recognize, “My Morning Jacket”) – will be opening the shows with his road-tested tales of flat-chested girls, bionic hearts, and monks at the disco. This is going to be fun. Get your tickets ahead of time.
