The Psycodelics recently unveiled their first studio single, “Fallen,” and revealed they have completed work on their debut album. The funk band has been a fixture of the Charleston, South Carolina music scene since formed in 2019.
The Psycodelics — Cameron ‘Caminator’ Wescott (bass, vocals), Whitt Burn (guitar, vocals), Jim Rubush (guitar), Sean Bing (drums, vocals), Chris Barnwell (drums) and Noah Jones (keys) — assembled at Charleston’s Coast Records to lay down “Fallen.” Matt Zutell engineered and mixed the track, which he also co-produced with Wescott. Jeremy Lubsey handled mastering duties.

This is one of the best bands I’ve ever worked with and definitely one of my favorites. The amount of talent and taste in this group is rare in general, let alone at the young age they are,” Zutell wrote on Coast Records’ Instagram. “They’re going to make a lot happen as a band and this is just the beginning.”
The Psycodelics performed two sets aboard Jam Cruise last month. Fellow Charleston-based musician vocalist Kanika Moore joined the band for most of their sets as did trumpeter Benjamin Green. Additionally, Moore enlisted members of the sextet to back her during her Atrium set on the boat.
