The Polyphonic Spree shared a new single, “Got Down To The Soul.” The track will appear on the collective led by Tim DeLaughter’s upcoming album, Salvage Enterprise, which is set for release in 2023.

While Salvage Enterprise — Polyphonic Spree’s first LP of original material since 2014’s Psychphonic — isn’t due out until next year, DeLaughter conducted album listening experiences in his native Texas with quadrophonic speakers, a bonfire and the stars overhead allowing fans to experience the concept record as DeLaughter intended, as a whole.

“Just like the times when I was a kid, when you’d go to the record store buy the album, call a friend go to the bedroom turn the lights off and listen to the album from start to finish,” Tim said of the listening experience. “We would take a journey, be in the music and be open to where it went.”

Delaughter also spoke about Salvage Enterprise’s themes of resurrection and perseverance as well as closing track “Got Down To The Soul’s” sense of clarity, peace and resolove.

“You’re coming up from the ashes like a phoenix after everything you’ve been through,” DeLaughter said. “This is where everything becomes clear, and there’s a certain peacefulness that comes from that. Everything finally makes sense.”
