Tonight, The M&M’s follow a sold-out, late-night show in New Orleans during Jazz Fest with the first of two performances at Cervantes in Denver. The group features a core unit of Papa Mali, John Medeski, Robert Mercurio and Stanton Moore along with backing vocalists Margie Perez and Monica McIntyre. This expanded version of The M&M’s will play four shows over the next week as after the Denver shows, they head to NYC for a May 15th show at Stage 48 and end the run the next night at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA.

The band first performed at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge in May 2013 and then appeared over that summer at the Equifunk Festival with special guests Maceo Parker and Marco Benevento. The M&M’s went on to record and release a single dubbed “Melts In Your Mind.” At their New Orleans gig the supergroup debuted a number of new original songs, including their new single “Brand New Day”, which you can expect to hear at the upcoming shows, along with some fun covers.
