The Meter Men Announce Shows With Page McConnell

In the fall of 2012 George Porter Jr., Zigaboo Modeliste and Leo Nocentelli of legendary New Orleans funk act The Meters recruited Phish keyboardist Page McConnell for a brief run of shows under the moniker “The Meter Men.” The pairing worked so well that the trio brought back McConnell to assist at a handful of shows in 2013 and 2014. This morning, HUKA Entertainment has announced the quartet will reunite for a pair of The Meter Men featuring Page McConnell performances in New Orleans. 
The quartet will play The Joy Theater in New Orleans on April 24 and 25 during the first weekend of the 2015 installment of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. New Orleans prog-funk act Earphunk have been tapped to open each night.
A pre-sale for HUKA Entertainment subscribers will begin on Wednesday, November 12 at 11 a.m. CT and will be followed by the general onsale this Friday, November 14 at 11 a.m. CT.
