The Goldbergs spinoff Schooled featured a nice little Phish reference on Wednesday’s season finale just after the Grateful Dead was mentioned on the original ABC sitcom. Character Matt Bradley was getting ready for Grateful Dead tour in the ’80s on The Goldbergs and fast forward to ’90s and he was touring with Phish on Schooled.

Bradley, one of character Barry Goldberg’s best friends and a member of his The Jenkintown Posse, a.k.a. The JTP, was getting ready to spend the summer following the Grateful Dead on last night’s The Goldbergs. Watch the scene referencing the Dead:

Schooled takes place in the ’90s and during the season finale Barry Goldberg assembled The JTP for a special mission. Viewers see the careers the members of the clique embarked on and Matt Bradley has moved on to Phish tour. The rest of the JTP heads to The Spectrum in Philadelphia where Phish was performing. Matt, sporting a Phish t-shirt, leaves “lot” to join his friends in backing Barry on an over-the-top romantic gesture. Click the link below for the scene in which Barry gets The JTP back together:
