Jacklyn LaBranch will join The Garcia Project for two special Jerry Garcia Band recreations in New York State next month. LaBranch will sing with the group on Friday, October 4 at Cohoes Music Hall in Cohoes and on Saturday, October 5 at The Strand Center For The Arts in Plattsburgh.

The Garcia Project are the only nationally touring tribute that performs classic Jerry Garcia Band setlists from 1976 – 1995. “The Garcia Project is a must-see for anyone who had the good fortune of seeing Jerry’s band live,” said Buzz Buchanan, JGB drummer 1977-1978. “I was lucky enough to share the JGB experience with Jerry, John Kahn, Maria Muldaur, Keith and Donna. Being on stage with Mik, Kat, Dan and the crew is the closest thing to the original. They are Jerry’s kindred spirits when it comes to making music. Even if you never saw JGB live, you can see and hear their spirit at a Garcia Project performance.”

Jacklyn LaBranch was a member of the Jerry Garcia Band from 1982 through 1995. The JGB lineup of Garcia, LaBranch, bassist John Kahn, drummer David Kemper, keyboardist Melvin Seals and vocalist Gloria Jones was the longest running iteration in the band’s history.

The Garcia Project has brought Jacklyn LaBranch into the mix for several key performances in recent years. LaBranch last performed with the group on March 15 in Petaluma, California.

Tickets for both The Garcia Project shows with Jacklyn LaBranch are on sale now.
