The Frequency Announce North American Tour Dates

The Frequency
Los Angeles-based experimental rock band The Frequency will embark on an extensive North American tour in support of their recently completed full-length debut record, entitled We Are The Same Machine. The self-produced album will be available on 12″ vinyl and CDs at shows with a proper national release to follow thereafter.

“We’ve rediscovered listening to music on vinyl over the past year and we really think it’s a great way to hear the music in the way the artists intended it to be made,” says keyboardist and co-founding member Marc Cazorla. “Albums were created with an emphasis on listening from start to finish, and that’s what we were hoping to accomplish. If someone doesn’t have a bunch of records or a turntable, we’d love for them to start their collection with us,” adds co-founder, guitarist and vocalist Alex Stiff.

Based upon a love of Moogs, the sound of a real Fender Rhodes electric piano and vintage Fender amps, the collective sound is a reflection of things old and new. The Frequency cite Pink Floyd, Air, and Mogwai as just a few influential groups. Their self-titled EP was released last February through Ropeadope Digital and a new song called “Stars” appears in the final scene and credits of the major motion picture “The Eye” starring Jessica Alba.

The Frequency look forward to returning to many of the cities they first visited last year while supporting groups as diverse as Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Lotus, in addition to introducing their huge sound to new venues and audiences. The Frequency will share the stage with an exciting group of bands including Greyboy Allstars, Scissors For Lefty and Future Rock before making a stop at the Wanee Festival in Florida. The group reunites with Lotus once again as support for their show at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York City.
