The Elovaters Share ‘Gonna Shine’ Video: Exclusive Premiere

Late last year, Boston’s The Elovaters released their sophomore studio album, Defy Gravity, via Rootfire Cooperative. JamBase is pleased to premiere the animated video for “Gonna Shine” from the LP, which debuted atop the Billboard and iTunes reggae charts.

The Elovaters consists of guitarists Jackson Wetherbee and John Alves, drummer Nick Asta, bassist Matt Link, percussionist Derrick Cabral and keyboardist Greg Nectow. Danny Kalb (Beck, Ben Harper, Willie Nelson) produced and mixed Defy Gravity, an 11-track album recorded at Virginia’s White Star studios.

The Elovaters kick off a fall tour on October 23 with the first of five dates in Florida supporting The Movement. On January 25, 2020 the band will headline the famed Paradise Rock Club in their hometown of Boston.
