Later this month, San Francisco venue The Chapel will host two tributes to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a pair of iconic Grateful Dead albums. The lineup of California-based musicians who will perform Aoxomoxoa in its entirety on October 28 and Live Dead in its entirety on October 29 has been expanded. A portion of proceeds from both tributes will benefit the Rex Foundation.

Ethan Miller of Howlin Rain fame has been tasked with curating the lineups for the concerts each of which will also feature guitarist Isaiah Mitchell, keyboardist Adam MacDougall, bassist Dan Horne and drummer Austin Beede. The new guests announced for Aoxomoxoa night are Brigid Dawson (Thee Oh Sees), Paula Frazer (Tarnation) and Greg Loiacono (Mother Hips/ Green Leaf Rustlers), while Raze Regal (Once & Future Band), Dan Lebowitz (ALO), Bill Orcutt, Meg Baird and Charlie Saufley (Espers/ Heron Oblivion) are aboard for Live Dead night.

“Myself, the four other incredible musicians in the band and a number of exceptional guest performers are coming together to bring these records to life again and to celebrate their vast and undying energy,” said Ethan Miller in a statement when the show was announced. “In the performance of Aoxomoxoa it gives folks a chance to see, hear and feel something live that I’m not sure even the Dead ever fully committed to the stage in its entirety. As for Live Dead, we’re just gonna set it loose and see what happens. It’s the only way to really honor the spirit, energy and exploration of what that record accomplished. The sound and spirit of these historic albums are going to be there and then some. It’s all gonna be a party!”

Tickets are on sale now via Eventbrite (10/28, 10/29).
