The Barr Brothers Plot ‘Life’s Work-In Progress’ Duo Tour

The Barr Brothers slipped in a batch of shows that will see the siblings performing as a duo. Andrew Barr and Brad Barr will perform on both U.S. coasts later this year, followed by a pair of shows in London early next year.

The brothers revealed excitement for the pending dates, writing, “First we talked about it, then last month we started doing it, and now we’re really in it, loving every minute … The Barr Brothers Duo, a life’s work-in-progress, is rolling your way.”

The co-founding members of The Slip will appear as a duo on the East Coast in November, commencing on November 14 at the Mercury Lounge in New York City. The first run continues on November 15 at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn and on November 16 at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, New York. The Barr Brothers will then head to Sheffield, Massachusetts for a concert on November 17 at Race Brook Lodge.

The tour resumes in December with four shows in California. The West Coast leg begins at The Chapel in San Francisco on December 10. From there the brothers head to Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz on December 11, followed by The Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles on December 12. Andrew and Brad will complete the tour on December 13 at Pappy and Harriet’s in Pioneertown.

The Barr Brothers head overseas next year for shows at Omeara in London on January 16 and January 17, 2025. The note from Andrew and Brad mentioned the possibility of more tour dates “as soon as the new album is released.” Further details regarding an album were not shared.

Tickets to The Barr Brothers Duo shows go on sale on Friday, August 23 at 10 a.m. local time.
